On August 8–9, 2025, the Darmaria Study Center held a Social Service project with 12 volunteers at St. Paul’s Station Ngeni, St. Joseph Parish, Blitar. This activity is part of the center’s annual program to show care and concern for the community. This year, the volunteers not only carried out social service activities but also had the opportunity to spend one night living with local residents.
The journey commenced on August 8, 2025, when the group departed from Surabaya for Blitar. Upon arrival, they began with a community service activity, cleaning the church alongside local residents. The Darmaria Study Center also donated two ciboriums and some cash to help fund the construction of a clean water well, which is expected to become a new water source for the surrounding community.
Following the main activity, the volunteers conducted fun sessions for kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school children, which included games and gift distribution. In the afternoon, they held a discussion and group activities with young people, ranging from high school students to young professionals. These warm and friendly interactions created a meaningful sense of togetherness.
On August 9, 2025, before returning to Surabaya, the volunteers visited Songgo Langit Beach with the youth of Ngeni Village. There, they spent time together playing and sharing stories. Through this program, the Darmaria Study Center hopes to continue being a channel of support and positive change, while also nurturing the spirit of service among its volunteers.
